Is there a way that LiteStep can support unicode...? I've tried AppLocale to no avail. A lot of my file names and song names (I use Foobar2000) are unicode. But the reason I'm still using Explorer is 'cause this unicode issue. Can't I just change a font or something? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

LS does support unicode. You are going to need to go through your theme's config files and change the font as you said. Not much more help we can provide really.

Thanks DeViLbOi. Heh, I remember that in the past you have helped me as well, I guess you're still on the forums. XD Thanks.

I hate to necro-post, but I'm also looking for unicode support in LS with no luck. I changed my font to Arial and text still shows up as "???" Is there another font setting that I'm missing?

Thanks

The default Arial font isn't a unicode font.

Really? Well, I've also tried MS Gothic, MS Mincho and similar fonts. I've also tried Arial Unicode MS, all without any luck.

Do you know of a particular font (/module?) combination that works?

EDIT: I've also tried specifying the SHIFT_JIS charset, but the correct characters don't show up, only garbage.

The LiteStep core does handle unicode just fine. All of the old core modules are unicode compliant so you can at least test with those. There are a couple themes that use unicode so maybe try and download those.

I couldn't find any. Besides, this is definitely a "necro-post" - haha! Which themes? I keep switching back and forth between Explorer and LS, anyways, hehe.

I found a "solution" so I thought I'd bring this back up briefly. I set my locale to JP, so now Japanese characters work with a proper font, but korean characters still elude me... Anyway, if all you need is the one locale's characters, then this is an idea.
