"system/sysetem23/LiteStep"

That must be some freaky setup you're running. o.O

Those system files go in \windows\system32.

It's the new OTS4 specification. :P

I didn't say that file was the only possible dependency...nor did I say it was the right one for you. Just said that was what the error meant.

Hmm ok this is getting odd :(

I’ve have done what the posts are saying so there goes "Immortal" input out the window.

at first my windows/system32 directory did not contain any of the dlls that I downloaded;
msvcp60.dll
msvcp70.dll
msvcr71.dll

although there was a msvcp70.dll......

oh and now I am incapable to remove the file msvcp60.dll now.

I also downloaded that gdiplus.dll file and placed it in the windows/system folder that the read my contained with in the file dictated,.. Nothing, so I moved the gdiplus.dll into the windows/system32 folder and sill no luck.

can any one point me in the direction off a list of files that I might also need or a utility that "might" check the LS setup and see what files I am missing.

.................................

also I have tried to register the dlls and I can't get any thing to resister! :(

Have you updated your build of litestep?
http://www.litestep.net/?section=7&catId=0&action=details&id=114
Download the binary file.
Kill Litestep and extract the files to your ls folder.

Have you updated NLM?

There is a tool that jugg had recommended over and over again to walk dependencies for modules. Can't remember the name of it now though. :(

Now he has me wondering what the hell dll he is missing...
I think we told him all of them.

Or what OS he's running... don't think I've seen that mentioned, but I'm tired.

im running a windows os :) Windows xp pro.
its the 32bit version tho i cant say i've seen a 64bit version of pro,. or was the media center, any way im and running it on a duel core 64bit prossesor if that makes any diffrence. i'll take a nice long look at that Dependency Walker program thing. and let you guys know how it goes.

Ok :( I am still having trouble.

But I have managed to fix a small part, Dependency Walker was giving me a nice headache as I was getting missing a dll, some DWMAPI.dll was missing apparently, after spending some time looking for a replacement and reading loads of forums I thing I narrowed it down to a vista/server2k3 dll, and thus, after pondering why I was getting this error I realised that Internet explore 7 is a “pre-release” of Vista’s i.e.

So I have now uninstalled I.E.7 and most unfortunately I am still having trouble, although I am now only having the 1 error message in the error log with Dependency Walker instead of two, and am no longer having a missing dll as well.

Dependency Walker's log read thus;

Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module.

I will continue to fart arse about with LS and check the forms until I/someone manages to fix the error :)

Oh and some thing else i am finding funny, i am getting that same error with nearly every dll i run with the Dependency Walker, and acording to the FAQ on the site linked above, this is really a normal error and should really be ignorred. :(

I am getting this also, I have tried all of the solutions you guys have offered, but to no avail. It tells me that modules are missing and to check my configuration file, when clearly, the modules are right there in the modules folder.

EDIT: And somehow, now, 2 hours later, all of my modules load fine. I installed another couple themes which forced LiteStep to download more modules and the error went away. Hopefully it will survive a reboot.
