Id like to make a popup which makes the users personal popup menu but also adds a few more things underneath.
I know how to put dynamic folders in, but im not sure how to add the users popup.rc into a new popup.
I hope I explained that correctly!
Can anyone help, thanks.
in the readme ask the user to do it him/herself
i'd not like someone to alter mine - always hated it in pre-presonal.rc time
make a lil note in themevars.rc which will be displayed when someone installs the theme and if its really some useful stuff i guess id like to keep it - and if its theme related, u know where to put it ...
im not planning on changing the main right click popup. ive got a hotspot in the bottom left corner that opens the popup, its just this 1 im planning to add a few lil things underneath, email, web browser etc. I could make an option to switch this on and off if the user wishes.
But its the code, im not sure how to make the personal popup menu popup with some additions of my own.
its just this 1 im planning to add a few lil things underneath, email, web browser etc.
well, thats all inside the quicklaunch, which is displayed by default, anyway - so why add it twice?
anyone who changed that sure has a good reason, dot u think?
plus he/she is surely able to put it back in case your theme does miss some buttons for that
just dont force anyone to like your popup menu o.O
Ok i get the message it aint a good idea, but its a shame no1 can help me with the code if i wanted to do it, which I probably wont now anyway!
Thanks anyway.
A theme can't modify the user's popup menu. You can however use !popuptheme or define as many new popup menus as you want.
I didnt want to modify it.
I wanted to create a NEW menu which contained the users menu in it.
well, it actually kinda can. you should be able to use textedit to append your popup info to their popup. but like everyone said, it's not a good idea. you would have a lot of angry people. and as for modifying, if you can believe it, that's even more complicated.
