Really nothing???
Strrrrange...
It means that Windows doesn't mapped your buttonsto Virtual Keys table.
You cannot use jKey anyway, but try this:
litestep.bip.ru/download/scankey2.zip
and say, does it show real ScanCode or AppCommand Code (lines under VkCode)?
If it shows, there will be a new module this week...
If it doesn't show'em, this module will be released too, but it wouldn't help you :)

I have the same problem with my remote. It doesn't register the volume, mute or shutdown buttons. I'll give the scankey2 a go and let you know.
Is this by any chance for use with jkey??

nope...nothing shows up

Cool it worked for me
Volume Up =
VkCode: 000000AF
ApCode: 0000000A

Volume Down =
VkCode: 000000AE
ApCode: 00000009

so in my jKey conf file I added
VOLUP , AF
VOLDN , AE

and added hotkeys something similar to -

*jkey .none VOLUP !dosomethingherelikeplaywav
*jkey .none VOLDN !dosomethingherelikeplaywav

thanks inform-sega

do you have a special keyboard app or driver that loads with windows? if so, disable it, then try again.

I'm lookjing for an app. that reports the current volume setting (i.e. volume=30%) in my journeys I'll have a look around for apps, similar to scankey2, as I'm building a PC to play movies, which will rely on mostly remote control keys.
If I find something I'll post it here.
...Good Luck!

I couldn't get HP multimedia keyboards (they also have volume knobs) to work in the past (scankey reported the same code for all), maybe I'll dig one up and try again.
