I think that site is very well written to the point a tutorial would be redundant. Just go through the "Theme Creation" page, and create the directories and files that is called out, then decide what modules you want to have in your theme, and read the documentation on those modules, and implement your theme. Or for a slower learning curve, do what DeVilbOi suggested, play with an already existing theme.
If there is something on the OTS site that needs a tutorial to explain, then please ask specific questions in those areas. Or if you are picking apart a theme, and have specific questions the documentation is not answering, please ask.
