Turning off Litestep isn't going to help you. I'm guessing RAM isn't even your issue at all. Litestep uses all of 16mb for me right now. That will not make any noticeable difference in the performance of your game.

If you are getting low FPS, it's because you are either:

A> Playing a game your computer simply can't handle
B> Playing with settings beyond what your computer can handle
C> Playing with 50 other processes running in the background, otherwise known as trying to game on a Dell

Seeing as how you managed to figure out how to get Litestep running at all and aren't asking how to change your desktop or why your window bars aren't the same style as your theme... I'm guessing you should be smart enough to figure out how to fix one of those problems.
