I'm having a similar problem: I've been using Litestep for about a year now, and have never had problems with the CPU percentage, but in the last few days it's often jumped up to 80%-100%. If I kill LS and restart it, it'll usually sort itself out at first, but will eventually be back to really high CPU usage.
