Hmm, Rainy made the Rainlendar pretty hard to configure for someone making a noimg theme, so I ended up doing a lot of extra stuff to keep it looking in tact with the rest of the theme. In the next version I'm just going to make the Rainlendar setup with either Transparent backgrounds, or images.

I guess what I"m trying to say is, it's not really broken, it's suppose to be like that. As for the weather module, I'm not sure why it wouldn't work, unless you really don't have permission to edit the .rc files.
