I think he's trying to make a layered vwm. So like hitting f9 for instance would show certain apps like his IM and amp and whatever else...then releasing or hitting f9 again would hide them...
Am I on the right track _neil?
That would be pretty tricky to do...maybe kidnap can work?

Actually I guess it's not that tricky and kind of a neat idea, I'm doing an "upper layer" for my label widgets.
