yeah it was funky, but with some help from 143lsstep i got it to work by copying the rainlendar.rc from the defualt litestep theme and pasting it in non|step's config folder. i made a new folder in there as well named rainlender whcih holds all of the themes. Then i went to my theme.rc and in place of the rainlendar line that already exists i put,
if ShowRainlendar
LoadModule "$ModulesDir$rainlendar-0.19.2.dll"
include "$ConfigDir$rainlendar.rc"
after doing that i could shift+click and enable/disable rainlendar
now as far what i am using rainmeter for, it just tells me my cpu, memory, and swap usage. What i would like to see for nonstep is a rainmeter them that does this and also says the weather. (i have seen some rainmeter skins that do this).
here is a screenshot of my current desktop

here is a desktop of someone using there own version of non|step. notice in the bottom right rainmeter looks awesome... this guy to my knowladge has not released these skins. in this shot i have also never seen that winamp skin. i would love to have it
