The people responsible for creating Litestep need a thorough lesson in Heuristic Evaluation, or Usability in general. It's 2007 guys and your program is so inaccessible.

How can you say such a horrible thing? LiteStep is very accessible. Please consider that it is a really complex software.

All the information you need can be found in the sticky posts, the documentation of LS and the modules and in several wikis. Then you really have to install it yourself and find skilled solutions for the real bugs and workarounds for the unimportant ones.

well i'd say yes...

it is a little "inaccessible" as you
say, but when i consider it's complexity
and the skill level required to make the
most of it...

that is probably a good thing.

this is the equivalent of say a
registry editor for Win95... if you
don't know how to use it, and don't
want to actually look into it (study
the docs a bit) then it's better to
not play with it

just my 2 cents

Should a user without the skill level be able to take complete and total control of their desktop experience? Or better yet, would someone without that skill level be looking to do it?

Litestep's accessibility is really a litmus test for who should and shouldn't be using it. ;>

Litestep was actually created as an IQ test for earthlings by an advanced galactic civilization.
