Hi guys...
I am JD, Im still new to LiteStep. I wanted to use the FallOut them but it needs 4 modules. I tried downloading them so that the FallOut theme would work but it seems there was an error in the downloading of the needed modules. I think it has something to do with my internet connection. Im using a proxy server. How do I reconfigure the module downloader or intaller so that it will use a proxy server?
Thanks
JD
Not sure about the proxy either, but I did not find anything in the docs of NetLoadModule.
I suggest that you manually download the modules in the correct version. Installing is usually very easy, you just need to copy the DLL from the download into LiteStep\modules and then recycle LS or reboot the PC.
Best to put the actual module zip in the litestep\modules\archive. NLM will process it from there.
As for the proxy thing, I'm pretty sure that NLM uses whatever IE is set to. Not positive, but pretty sure.
If NLM uses whatever IE is set to then it must be something to do with modules that are missing from the server. I tried downloading it manualy since you can manualy install it, but it seems I cant find the right modules in the downloads section.
Is there another solution to this?
Thanks again guys
JD
Well, yes, sort of:
1) may help to change the version-numbers of the modules in theme.rc to version that you already have. I tried that, works sometimes, mainly if you change the version upwards.
2) google for the needed modules
3) maybe

If you have not updated your *NetloadModuleSite list, the ones that come with Omar's installer is out of date. I believe the current valid sites are:
*NetLoadModuleSite "http://modules.shellfront.org/"
*NetLoadModuleSite "http://www.modules.ls-universe.info/modules/"
*NetLoadModuleSite "http://www.modules.nbi-studio.com/"
You should be able to find the lines to replace in your step.rc file.
You can also try ModuleGUI, a simple Tool, which downloads/installs/uninstalls Modules! Check it out:

Maybe it is useful for your downloading problem.
ModuleGUI definitely uses the proxy-settings of internet explorer.
This is nice for reference, a current list of all available modules (469 today):

I used the Omar Installer but I also found out that its oudated already so I used the updater on the omar installer to make it up to date but still it doesnt work :( Anyway I will just try looking for the modules through google...
THanks guys :)
