Hi. I've been using LS for a few months so I'm kinda familiar with it.
But.. Some time ago I bought a notebook (Aristo Prestige) - and when I use LS all key combinations with the FN button ain't work.
I just can't turn the volume up/down, change the brigtness with the Fn button and so on.
Did anyone have a similar problem?
Thanks in advance:)
It sounds like the function key usage was built into a Windows application and not the bios. Some applications run at startup are put into a place where LS doesn't locate them and start them. You need to find the application that handles this and put it into your Startup folder to fix it.
yea, im having this same problem...except a little differently. when i hit FN-PGup for volume up, the little icon at the top of the screen comes on...but it doesnt effect the volume at all.
i use the FN button to turn on and off my wireless adapter, goto sleep mode, etc. those all work fine, it's only the volume buttons.
i think i need to look around and see if LS is overriding the volume controls to something else...thats all i can think of.
yeah, seems like it's a common problem, I've used litestep and I can't control the volume (from the laptop bottons) it's kind of desperating, since they are very useful, I'll try to find the application that devilboy mentioned cause I installed litestep in 2 laptops and both have the same problem, if it's usefull both are HP, sorry if I have a bad english thanks
No...it is not a problem...it is a known issue. It is also not a LiteStep issue. LiteStep is working as designed. In your case, HP, has not designed their product very well. You simply need to redefine your hotkeys into LS, or get their software to start via the StartUp process. Run scankey, get the hotkeys, define the hotekeys and recycle. It isn't that hard.
