I've tried each one of these to see if one would fix the problem that I'm have now with all three of them.
My problem is that they only show my volume icon and I KNOW for a fact there are many more icons that they are not showing. Please if any knows how to fix this or knows of a mod that fixes it please put me in the right direction

1. Are they set to autosize? If so, what's the configuration?
2. Why aren't you using xTray? :)

Were you running any Stardock applications recently?

1. yes, let me figure that out tomorrow to late now
2. Didnt know about it
3. Yes, had Windows blinds, got afew others now, like bootscreen, logon and quick launch.

-=edit=- Ok installed xtray and wow...now nothing. Warning Im a total noob at this and would really like to get into LiteStep but wow..I dont understand when and where to code yet. I took out the other trays and like I said I have nothing now with xtray installed. If there are "default" code that work could you either actually post them or point me to how to work it and where, would prefer the post.

xTray 1.x uses its own set of config code. xTray 2.x uses that, and even then that's a little different.

My advice for that: get and install xPaintclass-1.0 (stick the DLL in the same folder as Litestep.exe), and start using xTray-2.0. Get the newest theme here, devART-min, which uses xTray-2.0, and start playing with it from there.

VTray was less buggy than those that preceeded it, and likewise, xTray is less buggy than them. Also, with current versions of xModules (and lsxcommand), you can use basically the same config code for them all in terms of appearance. So going from xTray-2.0 to xTaskbar-2.0 to xLabel-4.0 are small steps, with basically no change in how the look is set up.

Define "installed"

I have it in the folder, got the theme that uses it, unless I have to activate it it should be on right? Thats what I mean by installed.

nope...that means it is in a folder. You need to now load it and configure it.

If he's "got the theme that uses it", that should be done already, too.

Sorry...was half asleep when I made the post.

Only half? You must have had some coffee first. I've started to make posts and then awakened to find a single letter filling the entire text box. ;) (And I've been logged out, too.)

I made the post and then went to bed. But I didn't make the post from bed...so only half asleep. :p Now if the theme loads the module, what do you mean that it "isn't showing up".

Boreas you asked if I ran an Stardock apps lately, yes I have why is that important? Did it effect me?

Posted by member 1 on 2006-12-30 17:25:45 link

certain Stardock apps install an application that manages the system tray and it is imcompatible with LiteStep.

And it seems to like to continue hanging out, even after you uninstall said app.
