literate?

Do these steps, in the numeric order:

1. Uninstall litestep (if the auto unistall fails, manually uninstall, if that fails (which it shouldnt as there is plenty of reg key info around) reinstall windows)

2. Get the newest Installer Omar has made from the downloads section here.

3. Get the RC3 build from the downloads section here

4. While litestep is not running, Unzip the RC3 into your litestep folder (make sure the rc3 files overwrite the old ones)

Also: Always install new themes while connected to the net

The modules you arent downloading are vital to themes.
Litestep themes are modular (different themes load different modules that do different things) its not like sys32.dll or anything, its like xTray-1.0.dll
litestep modules are .dll's litestep uses.

man I hope I covered everything a quick search in the forum would have unveiled.

Hmm... that's odd. This thread was flagged as unread to me, but there's nothing new. o.O The forum is haunted.

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-16 05:06:19 link

I get that sometimes too (think its todo with Opera's cache more than haunting though)

Posted by member 1316 on 2005-12-16 13:43:49 link

no, I've gotten it a couple times with FF. it's definitely haunted...

Happens when people post in a thread and it starts "sorry, its a little off topic but don't want to post a new one."

Oh haha

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-16 17:14:52 link

Hahah

Posted by member 212670 on 2005-12-16 22:20:14 link

Hahaha

(try and out do me, will you...)

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-18 03:35:39 link

heh...

Whatch it, you might get banned or something ;P

Posted by member 212670 on 2005-12-18 04:32:12 link

Haha ya really...had enough of that this month. :P

What was this thread about? I forget now. :D

(Custo banned me, for those not in the know, which is what fractal is refering to.)

Posted by member 1885 on 2005-12-18 07:19:56 link

Really? Why, did you happen to complain about those incredibly annoying popups of theirs?

Edit: Jeez.. I've been reading a bit about what's been going on over at Custo and I must say it sounds completely insane. I have now removed my stuff from the site and the info from my profile. I don't want to be a part of a community where the admins behave like that.

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-18 16:26:15 link

West: :o WOW! good idea!, never thought of that...

Posted by member 212670 on 2005-12-18 18:52:50 link

You guys didn't have to go and do that heh.

Btw, (not counting the LS rankings) the other admins there aren't so bad. It's really Max.

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-19 02:43:18 link

well, the other admins havent stood up for you yet... so ... :/

Posted by member 212670 on 2005-12-19 02:49:32 link

Ya, but they can't. It'd be unprofressional...not that they're hardcore in to formalities. :P You'll notice the ex-mods did say something, though.

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-19 04:20:40 link

meh, what Max did was unprofessional ;) if other admins stuck up for you, it might seem like a split in the admin circle (or something) but, in the end, when you get unbanned, they would be more heroes than unprofesional...

in my eyes anyway...

And it looks like Max has come to some resolve:
Rules in regards to situations such as this were talked about verbally amongst admins but none are listed in one specific section hence it makes this sort of situation rather hard to enforce.

(Hopefully that will be addressed by the owners) so that this does not happen again.

This incident will be resolved accordingly, there is no need for further disruption or uninformed statements.

xcal you will be contacted shortly by either myself or fenris, until then lets all relax, put the pitch forks and torches down and return home.

I will keep my fork sharp, clean and at the ready until your unbanned ;]

Posted by member 148416 on 2005-12-20 07:50:13 link

What a bogus situation.

Don't you get so angry at the morons who post "let's just let this die" or whatever? People with no moral backbone make me angry. I can understand the "it's just the internet" arguement, but to me everything should have some moral credibility, and it would have moral credibility too, right up to the point when people forfeit it with comments like "let's just let this die".

Morons.

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-20 17:17:22 link

Well, Max unbanned xcal, so its settled alittle now.

Posted by member 148416 on 2005-12-21 08:33:31 link

Yeh I gathered as much, and I really didn't even know it was happening (when it was happening)... I only found out from this thread and then went and read all the locked threads on custo.org

But after reading it all I still got kinda angry :P

Posted by member 248213 on 2005-12-21 16:31:42 link

Yeah, its so weird that he locks the threads and deleted peoples postings and then added his own after the lock etc...

so, untruthfull.
