I have a problem with my shortcuts. I want them to be textonly, no image above them. i was told that was possible in xdesktop, but i dont get it to work. Can only get smallicons. Is there any other way to do this?

I want to specify a area where the icons are suppose to be, and there, when i drag and drop a shortcut, it should autocenter in that area.
The theme Deskotopian as exactly this, but i cant figure out how he has done it =) anyone who as clue about it?

I'm not familiar with the Desktopian theme... but IIRC there is an old module that lets you have text-only shortcuts on the desktop. Can't remember what it's called, only that I tried it a long time ago and it was very buggy (it painted the text on top of open windows sometimes after a recycle -- ouch!). Maybe the theme uses that module? That wouldn't give you the same functionality as xdesktop though, all shortcut lines are hardcoded so you wouldn't be able to drag & drop stuff.

Edit: This is the one LINK

West - I have tried textshortcuts, that one does the job, except drag & drop, wich I could live with, it's not that hard to type in all my shortcuts. But i can't have bold text with that module, wich f**ks up the overall design of my theme.... Or is there a way to get in bold anyway?

i've tried to specify that way, i use Tahoma, and when i try to specify to tahoma bold, or tahomabd it won't work

Did you try "Tahoma Bold" with the quotes? Fonts with spaces need quotes.

yeah I have quotes around it

err... you could hack Tahoma... so there is only bold in the file (??? Just guessing here)

Hehe, hacking a TrueType font is kind of a big job, especially one with as large a character set as Tahoma... but Ant3ri, is there any reason you can't just use xLabel for your shortcuts, if it doesn't matter that they're hardcoded? xLabel has all the text-display options you could possibly want.

tht should be the default answer to any (crappy module) design issue: Do it with xLabel

:D

We really should be called the xCrew or something for our suggesting xMods every chance we get...
