I'm a big fan of IconPackager, and I have always used it with windows. Now that I use LiteStep, for some reason IconPackager doesn't seeem to work. Any ideas on why? If so, how can I get them to work.

Thanks

I had problems with this too a few years back. If I am not mistaken, IconPackager or any of the programs that change your system icons for you will not work with alternate shells. This is why many people hacked shell32.dll files.

If you really want to change the icons while using an alrenate shell, I think you may have to mess with the reqistry. Needless to say, I just stopped playing with icons.

yep u can open shell32.dll [i.e. with Microangelo] and edit the icons directly - this will work under litestep too

Tuneup Utilities 2004 works for me great... It includes an app called WinStyler... not sure if it is available as a standalone app, or if it only comes in the package. Using win2k build 2195 and latest Litestep build.
