hi, im new to this litestep thing and i was kinda wondering whats the code to make the icons on the systray and taskbar flash, for instance when a new msg apears in msn chat windows.

Probably should go into Modules, but anyhow... Check the modules your theme uses to display tasks, and perhaps make a transistion to either xTaskbar or Taskbar3, which both operate nicely and are able to flash tasks. See their documentation for instructions.

I have little experience in the tray though, so someone else will have to cover it.

i went exploring both litestep and my theme somemore and found out that my theme's using systray2-2.0.1 and traytasks-1.7 that enables the task icons to be in the tray, as it is explain in this thread (http://www.litestep.net/index.php?section=4&action=view&catId=3&id=3184&hl=traytasks). unfortunatly the thread went down without something that would explain the question of this thread.. does anyone know how to work with traytaks and systray? and, if so, do u know the answer to the thread title?

traytasks 1.8 supports flashing icons.

get it from shellfront, loose-screws or ls-universe, and read the manual for the code.
