Hello,

I am very new to litestep, I install it (LiteStep_Installer_omar_302_1-79_20031117) and I want to modify it for a specific user in order to only allow to him to execute the shortcuts in the desktop...

Can any one help me in this?

Where can I find some doc - info about modifying the litestep shell?

Thank you in advance...

Andreas

currently, the best way to go is to read the module docs, as most of the tutorials and other docs are outdated.
also, you find some general information here: http://www.flatface.net/~namaide/lsdocs/

there're some smaller tutorials, look through the sticky threads to find them.

concerning what you want to do (or at least the way i understand it): there's no way litestep can prevent a user from running apps. that's not part of a shell. but you can probably set up a windows user account for this.

Actually I want to keep only the desktop and the shortcuts which I decide...

not to sway you from litestep, as its an awesome software. but from what it sounsd, u'd just need to get tweakXP, u can disable almost all those features as it edits them from you regestry for ya.. u can also hide drives.. stuff like that with it..

just google TweakXP and check it out!

ummm...no...you don't need tweakxp.
1) don't load the popup module
2) in that users personal.rc, comment out "*Desktop RButton !Popup"
3) don't load the taskbar module
etc, etc
