Launchmate with Litestep? Thread last updated on 2004-06-07 13:14:16

I'm a fairly new user to Litestep. I've experimented with a couple of themes so far, settling on the "Wet" theme by Surazal (for now). I'm no idiot when it comes to editing the files, but far from experienced with it yet.
My problem is this: previously, I was using a launcher on my system called Launchmate. I had it set to autohide along the left edge of the screen. However, after installing LiteStep, I would get a message on boot saying that there is already an autohidden window along that edge (or any edge for that matter), and the program would stay active along that side of the screen. This might not be so bad if I did not have it set to "Always on top" as well. Just for the record, I have gotten the same result using Launchmate with BlackBox and Geoshell as well.
Can anyone tell me how to configure LiteStep to allow an autohidden bar along one edge? Or, failing that, recommend an alternative launcher that will organize my system as well as Launchmate does? The LiteStep popups just dont' seem to cut it as well as the near-obsessive organization I can achieve with this program. Any help?

Thanks
Dominic

It's not possible right now. This requires a complete AppBar implementation, which no shell (besides explorer) currently has. It's as undocumented as the tray. We are working on it, but the current builds just contain a stub. It'll take another one or two months at least until a first experimental implementation is done. Sorry. :\
