My question, if it hasn't already been asked, is can FireFox be integrated into the Litestep shell?

Why would you want to integrate something that has no business being there?
It would add no features, cause problems, and be a PITA. On top of that, it would serve no purpose.

Cerbie: gramps obviously thought of a purpose, otherwise gramps would not have asked. There is no need to tell someone there is no point in doing whatever it is that they want to do. It is their choice to try. :)

Gramps: Could you be more specific? If you mean displaying a webpage, I don't think any module uses the gecko rendering engine.

using gecko in a module to display a web page wasnot what I was thinking of with 'integration.'
Integration is exactly what LS lacks, and while it's sometimes annoying, it's what gives it the flexibility it has.
FI, IE is part of explorer. Remove IE (if you're on a OS that can, like Win2k SP2), and explorer lacks functionaly, and may crash when you try to do stuff.

A module that could use the rbowser's display engine (like many browser front-ends do) wouldn't be bad.

you know, id hate litestep if it was integrated to a broswer. it isnt meant to be.

LS is designed to be completely independent of everything. User preferences...User designs...User needs. Now then...what sort of integration are you talking about with FireFox? What functionality or resource do you want to bring over? Sell your idea and it might happen...you never know.
