hmm, I'm sorry, but I don't use any quicklaunch, cause I'm much more faster with my hotkeys :s

dude man, drop abc - burst rc5 is the shizzle. Also Opera blows Firebird outta the water ;)

wont make this an opera vs firebird because anything is better than internet explorer ;), it's just a matter of tastes, ilike firebird better.

and i like abc becuase every time there's a new theshadows release, the developer releases an updated version of his client.

Opera has a ton of features that firebird doesn't have (or any other browser for that matter)

Has firebird implemented mouse-gestures yet? Drag-and-drop toolbars?

And generally I find the new theshadow releases tend to follow on the heels of burst, and the other clients follow on the heels of theshadow... I guess it's whether you prefer to get the innovation from a dealer or straight from the grower ;)

I don't use a quicklaunch. I have hotkeys and a special popup folder for my frequently used apps.

inhaler, there are other threads about people's favorite browsers, text editors, etc. DON'T get it started it again (they're just annoying, each person saying their app is better). If someone prefers one app over another, it's their choice.

I basically use quicklaunch, with subdirectories, for Mozilla, Firebird (haven't gotten to trying Thunderbird yet), Paint Shop Pro, and Console2. Lsxcommand gets most else done (winword, notetab, explorer, pretty much everything but trillian and openoffice), and I use the included ftp.
With lsxcommand aliases, I really don't use quicklaunch much.

inhaler:
http://texturizer.net/firebird/extensions/ there are currently 3 extensions to get mouse gestures in firebird. as in litestep, firebird is about having alternatives, you have the freedom to choose what to use.

and burst is based on theshadow builds, but unlike abc they do not release with each update or bugfix that is done.

Since I'm using firebird 0.7, litestep.net use to be badly displayed (but I'll still using it :)) Do you have the same bug, sryo ?

Smurth: that bug is random, but depends on the machine somehow. I've now had it occur twice, using Mozilla only. Yet at school (reminding me why I hate Win9x), on the PC I'm usually at, it occurs every time a page here is loaded (and sometimes at forums.anandtech.com).

it was fixed in one of the trunk builds, but there's been a regression, it should be fixed in the final 0.8
