HELP with theme creation. Thread last updated on 2003-10-26 23:44:23

Ok, so as some of you know, transparent v1.0 OST2 is out for D/L....

I hit the C+A+D combo tonight for the first time since creating the theme and noticed that EVERY modlue and shortcut are listed in the 'running' window which doesnt happen on other themes I have created or installed, so I know I did something wrong with it...

Can someone please help me figure out what the issue is with this?

I would like to correct the issues and release V2.

And/or if you don't load your desktop module first.

yup load your desktop module first and u shouldnt have any problems.

Well, I guess I was sadly mistaken about a couple things... I loaded J-desk first in my theme and it seemed to cure the issue, but then I had to CAD to drop another program and noticed that again, all the shortcuts I use on the desktop are in the CAD list.... and if I switch themes, even to austerity, the shortcuts are running in CAD for them too.. so now I'm really lost... it worked... now it doesnt... and I havent changed anything since I thought it was fixed.

BTW, I am not using grdtransparent at all... someone mention something on the theme info page (transparent v2) that there is something wrong with transparencies and artifacts are still running in the background for this themetoo... and I have NO CLUE what that means...

Do not use captions on any of your shortcuts and all will be fine. I have had this issue also and that was the only way I could resolve it.

I tried that just now in hopes that you had a good point there and now everything in C+A+D says 'Generic_#####' where # is the system given process number because it doesnt have captions. Good try :) Any other ideas?
I have came to the point now of eliminating everything I dont need to see if that helped too, but still get the same thing... the weird part is, when I made the second version, it worked great by loading jdesk first... and all of a sudden, it is all showing in C+A+D again.

I think I got it.... I was using Shortcut2-2.0 and popup2-2.0 before, and had switched to shotcut3-2.0 and when i switched back, it fixed it, no C+A+D list of shortcuts now.

:) I will be making a note in the forum for shortcut3-2.0.dll for those who create it to check this out.
