That's and odd problem. I've never heard of this before. Perhaps you you put a screenshot of the Simplicity theme in your profile for us to look at someone might spot what the problem could be.

Oh, and most internet forums have rules regarding the title of threads. "Noobie question" is a perfect example of an unacceptable title.

sorry about the title, i'll make a note of that in the future, anyways i uploaded a screen shot into my profile, so you guys can take a look at well whats not there.

btw just so you know it is a dual moniter set up with one above the other, i'll keep poking and look for more docs to read up on

The Up/Down scenario may not have been accounted for in theme design. Try setting them right/left and see if it patches it up. If it does we can go from there to get you back to top bottom.

LiteStep does support it but the themer never thought about your setup. What you will need to do is alter your step.rc to use negative, or positive, co-ordinates for all of your Y settings. For example SystrayY should go from 12 for example to -1012. Good luck.

I would also recommend changing the VWM's in your themes to RabidVWM and your desktop module to jDesk. Both these have great support for multi-monitor systems and have features that will allow you to correctly position elements on the primary monitor.

I can't imagine how someone puts one monitor on top of another :) I guess it's the only way if you don't have a wide desk.
