Trying to change a font but when I recycle the theme it doesn't change.
The text is part of a label, and I have the font in the same place as the others, so why won't this font load. Also it's the same format as the other fonts, .ttf

Thanks for any help!

are there spaces in the name? do you have the name enclosed in quotes? Is the name spelled correctly? Alittle more information will greatly aid everyone in helping you.

Sometimes Windows screws up and doesn't actually install a font when you copy it into the Fonts folder. Try installing it again, if that fails then get TweakUI and use 'Repair Font Folder'.

how exactly do you install fonts? I've always just downloaded them from the net and unzipped them to the font directory under windows folder.
Also how do you use custom fonts with LS, like what directory/directories do they have to be in?

Just drag the font over the fonts folder and let go. I've been able to do the same thing with just a shortcut to the windows font folder - I keep the shortcut in my LS folder, and just drag any font that comes with a theme onto that shortcut. It's says either "installing blah..." or let's me know that the font is already installed.

i just copy it into "c:\windows\fonts" and it does the little progress bar of "installing" the font, then recycle. that should work.

there finally got fonts to work! =)
for some reason, just copying them wasn't installing them, had to manually install them from the control panel fonts applet. Furthermore when I went to install the ones that were copied into the font folder it said they were installed already, so I copied them to a temp folder, then installed from there, and it finally worked..go figure
*mumble damn windows mumble*
Thanks guys!
