well, changing the systray settings won't effect winamp/clock, etc, because they're all different. when you're showing the systray, you're hiding winamp, and everything else. they share the same space, but that's the only thing they really have in common. as for the other settings, who knows? without knowing which settings you're going to change, it's KINDA hard to give an answer to that non-question. since you're not sure of what you're doing, it would probably be a good idea to make a copy of the .rc file.
