This is the only jdesk setting in your theme.rc:
jdeskworkarea "35,0,0,-21"
I don't know WTF you were doing with that CSS stuff. ;) LS don't use no stinkin' CSS. Maybe the jdesk *documentation* had some CSS file associated with it.
In any case, that setting probably ought to be
jdeskworkarea "35,1,-1,-21"
jdeskworkarea "35,0,0,-21"
