Dually monitor output:

Primary:
1600x1200x32 sometimes higher, depending on what I'm using it for...
21" Gateway 2000 Vivitron $350 (not too bad)

Secondary:
1280x1024x32
17" Dell POS monitor I got for $50 ;-)

Both are running on GeForce cards...
Primary:
GeForce3Ti AGP
Secondary:
GeForce2MX 200 PCI

I favor nVidia's chipsets over ATI's... while ATI makes a nice dually monitor card.. and nVidia makes a great one too... both cards are not that economical... When I measured price vs performance, I was better off buying a cheap GeForce2MX 200 PCI for $40 and adding it to my GeForce3Ti using nView, than buying a GeForce4Ti Ultra Dually or an ATI Radeon Dually... I've got 2 GPU's spreading the visual processing load rather than a single one... the Ti does the 3D work most of the time, while the MX sits idle and does all of the window work... This is a fairly efficient setup for my work.. I do 3DSMAX and Photoshop freelance... it helps to have a lot of screen ;-)
