Like cerbie said, the biggest one for me is that nothing take away space from maximized apps.

Ability to disable theme components to reduce overhead.

Quick access to files through a popup menu (think whatever Stardock is doing with micro-shells now).

Easy to create new themes.

Some way of distinguishing between two windows of the same application (this is my problem with dock-style taskbars).
