exit litestep simply closes litestep. what your looking for is the explorer shell. to do this, open up the litestep folder and use the "switch to explorer" shortcut, or in your popup menu, goto programs>litestep and use the switch to explorer shortcut. then goto add/remove programs and remove litestep.
