Hi. I'm not sure what language litestep is coded in (probably c++), you might want to check out lsdev.org for that.
Probably the best way to install LS on your system is by using omar's installer, whcih you can find at http://beyondconvention.net/ohussain/lsinstaller/
I recommend you read at least the sticky topics in this forum first. You might also want to read lsfaq.shellfront.org (the LS FAQ), and o-t-s.sourceforge.net (for themes, the Open Theme Standard, how to install themes, etc.) After that, docs for specific modules you have can be found in your litestep\modules\docs dir.
