If you are using this:
*Shortcut "$SC4Name$" 44r $BarY$ icons\app1.png icons\app2.png icons\app3.png #0O$SCFlag$ ["$SC4LClick$"][$SC4RClick$]

then try this (note the missing quotes)
*Shortcut "$SC4Name$" 44r $BarY$ icons\app1.png icons\app2.png icons\app3.png #0O$SCFlag$ [$SC4LClick$][$SC4RClick$]
