if i'm reading this right, it's loading aol instant messenger on load? check this setting: tools/options/other/advanced options/add-in manager AND com add-ins and see if there is anything in either of those that is checked. sometimes programs can add in things that load on outlook load and if that is the case, those two places are where it'll be.
