I turned off Fade effect and have no problems with winamp anymore.
UT2004 seemed to be the only game giving me audio problems. I defaulted UT's audio options and used !HideModules before loading it and the sound problems are very minimal now(a crackle here and there, only really when I destroy a powercore).
