This is required, maybe you havn't the comdlg32.dll in the newer version??

Well, you system obviously seems to have problems with the recycle animations (why? i don't know)
Try to deactivate it.
Open the "Themevars.rc" and search the line

and set this to 1
(maybe this helps, but i cannot promise)
A question: Does this also happen if you recycle WITHOUT THE GATHERING RECYCLE, means call !Recycle via LSXCommand or Ctrl+Alt+F1
If this works, tell me and i tell you how to fix your problem, if not i have no clue.

You're right, but this only is true for the new LSBox-3.0-pre version the included one LSBox 2.95 works on all OS (Well you need IE4 and some windows dll in actual version, should everyone have).
