something that hasnt been mentioned yet is xplorer^2 by the same guy who wrote 2xexplorer. he claims that it is still an alpha and should be used only for testing, but i have been using it for about a week now without any problems at all. it has all the features of 2xexplorer implemented as far as i can tell, adds more new features than i can count (check out the scrap frame, its one of the coolest ideas ive seen for a file manager) and is significantly faster than 2xexplorer. its also freeware... get it here
