the step.rc command is LSAutoHideModules

and jdesk allows you to recycle on resolution changes - from the docs:
jDeskRecycleOnRezChange
- If set, jDesk requests are recycle of the shell
after a Screen resolution change.
- boolean value: true if set, otherwise false.

so make sure that doesnt appear in your .rc files anywhere
