Last time I used Litestep was in 2000...
Obviously, alot has changed since then and new Litestep versions have been released. My question is, how do I make an old theme work with the new litestep? I used to be able to create litestep themes, but sadly I have forgotten how to do it ...
Fisrt update/install litestep and see what is still working whith your old theme. Then take a look at the changes.txt/oldchanges.txt for the commands on the step.rc or setup files that are not working to see if there is a new syntax for that setting.
Also update/install the modules that your theme uses and take a look at their readme's to find about the changes...
And that would be a start at least...
I'm not sure about the history of LS but you might want to make sure your old theme conforms to the OTS (http://ls-ots.cjb.net/) to enusure it works with the current version of LS.
If you can't figure it out, send me a .zip and I'll see what I can do.
Don't have play with Litestep since 2000 ?
Humm, forgot how to create a theme ??
Are you sure you didn't fell into a coma ???
Smurth: LOL ^_^;;
Mr.White: Thanks! *the file is on the way*.
I remember downloading a new version of litestep a while ago, and when I tried to use my theme nothing loaded (no warps, no nothing) ...
Mr.White: Your e-mail is incorrect ^_^;;
I hope you didn't try to click the link straight from my profile....
I'll see what I can do, AmiraHime.
In your readme it says:
Now copy the Starcraft step.rc and modules.ini from c:\Litestep\Themes\Starcraft to c:\Litestep and recycle.
So I guess I'll need this starcraft theme too. Do you have a link for it?
Hmm, no I thought I had all the module files if there... odd. Arg, maybe I have to start all over with this one >_
