using win xp (pro), when i want to exit windows, i am getting this "beautiful" xp-standard-design-style logoff window:

is there any way to change that design? i know i could switch the old win2k behaviour, but this would make me lose the welcome screen as well... which I have customized and now looks quite nice...

besides that, any xp-boot / welcome / logoff screens available for download that suit to simplicity?

first of all, that's the shutdown window you have on that image. but i think you can customize them all with stylebuilder from tgtsoft.

Well ehh while on this would it not be great if there was a bang other than !Shutdown that would shutdown emediatly instead of showing the shutdown dialog. Or is there allready? I'm havin a hard time keepin up with changes. Anyway, then you would be able to create your own shutdown dialog with just some shortcuts or something.

!Restart and !StandBy would be cool too :)

I use a little program to do that: Shutdown. It has command line options to directly shutdown, restart and others.

I use win 2000 and use a shutdown window (made with shortcut2) with the different shutdown options. Similar to the one that uses winxp since I didn't like having to open the drop down menu to do different actions. It was much better with radio buttons like on win98 where you could simply double clic on the option to have it done.

I believe you could use something similiar with the aid of this program, and you wont loose the welcome screen.

Hope it helps.

PS: The program its a stand alone exe, no installation needed, no registry inputs neither.
