I am wondering if there is a desktop module that will let the explorer desktop show through but will let you activate the !Popup menu when you click in the empty space?

Primarily the icons on the explorer desktop. That is prettymuch what I am meaning.

it sounds like you want to be running litestep over explorer. doing that, you would still have your desktop, start menu, taskbar, etc., plus you will also have your popup, and anything else you have running. or do you want JUST your desktop, minus the start menu, taskbar, system tray, etc?

Well, I can just hide the Windows Taskbar, but I would primarily like to have the desktop icons show. And since running a desktop module, atleast the ones that I have tried, they cover up the icons.

well, not sure. maybe lsdesk? from the description, it looks like it could maybe do it, not sure. it's the only one on loose-screws.com that looked like a possibility.
