Is there a module that will let me put the winamp "bars" on the desktop? Ive looked around but couldnt really find something specifically for this purpose, closest i found was rainmeter but that doesnt look like it will do want i want. I picture of what im talking about is in the lower left corner of this pic.

perhaps even that playlist deal too, :)
This isn't a module. It's a little thingie made by RadScorpion one of the guys that builds RadLight media player
http://developer.radlight.net/download/visdemo.zip
It can visualise anything that happens in windows - even different applications, microphone, line-in etc...
you only need to set the proper recording source in your audio properties tab in Windows
and play a bit with the recording sensitivity level.
Oh, well why isnt it a litestep module. heh.
That's probably just a winamp skin.
I don't know if those guys use Litestep at all.
It's not a winamp skin. It's a little app that works even without winamp as far as I know. I don't know how well it will play with Litestep though.
That was found as a submitted pic on the litestep.com site, and the popup menu shows litestep, so im pretty sure thats what it is.
I have the visdemo running right now, doesnt look like it gets anything from winamp, the bars barely move, so does it need to be used with radlight?
Well if such a module doesnt exist, how hard would it be for someone to make that module, one that displays the winamp "bars" ?
Ok, they've now put up another ss with the same thing, and this time in the little info box in the ss it says "jofo winamp" i think that might have something to do with it but i cant find any info on it.

FireStormGS, No, it works with your sound card, you'll just have to adjust the volume settings (used the advanced ones, and monkey with them until you get the bars rally going.)
With every possible volume maxed the bars still barely move. Plus you cant change the color or make the background transparent in because there are no settings for it. So either they didnt use this visdemo at all, or they have a newer better version. If they did use this, how did they do the playlist?
Alright, so i found how to get the bars working, but i still cant find any way of customizing it. You have to set the recording device for it to work properly.
