Problem with fonts Thread last updated on 2003-05-10 06:31:57

Hi,
I,m from Poland (Central Europe, east from Germany if someone doesn't know where it is :-))and in my language there are letters like ¶,æ,¿ etc. Normally I can't use other fonts like Arial CE and Times New Roman which are possible to display this chars by default. Unfortunately some themes are using for example Verdana or Tahoma, which have those chars but Litestep doesn't display them correct and the only thing which I can see is for example "?". I know that I can change them to Arial CE or Times New Roman CE but that is not a solution I'm looking for. So, my question is: is there a way (or some switch) to make possible using other fonts with central european encoding?
P.S. Sorry for my english.
P.S.2 Is there someone who understands this question and my problem?

It depends on the module. Some modules handle it correctly, others still don't. If the source is available it's usually an easy fix. Which modules don't work correctly for you?

The one, which is important for me now, is (I think) popu2.dll and those modules which are responsible for displaying some menus (if there are any).

Me again,
O.k. I've downloaded the latest Indie build and the popup module now works fine but I've forgot about taskbar.dll which doesn't.
Any help will be appreciated.

hmmmm... download the latest version of taskbar3 from http://www.loose-screws.com/
There is a common solution for all modules - to setup the default font charset via the Windows registry, but I don't remember it. And, of course, in this case you'll need to setup it for every font separately. May be Google will help you...
