Gaming in Litestep Thread last updated on 2003-02-05 01:50:26

I'm just looking for a way to play games while using a theme in litestep.
I saw the guide at Joeblade.com, I haven't had the time to try it yet, but the guide doesn't seem to say anything about changing graphics of the theme so that they aren't on top. I set all the modules to NOT on top, but some graphics of the theme still covers the screen when I start a full screen game.
Another thing I saw is that someone mentioned in another thread that he uses a "blank" theme for gaming, if possible, could someone please explain how to go about making such a theme?

Well the gfx don't stay on top on their own, there are windows objects that draw teh gfx that are set to be on top. So probally you missed the ontop flag in one of the shortcuts :)

As for the blank theme, probally just load desktop2.dll (or anyother desktop module) and your favorite hotkey module with hotkeys that go to your games.

Hmmm, ok.
I'll go check all the modules of the theme again.
I'll try the blank theme thing though :-)
Wish me luck.
If I'm not back in like 2 days, assume I messed up and is formatting ;-)

hehe, who needs to format as long as you have DOS mode ... unless you are in NT, then it's a little different :)

Make sure you load your desktop module before any other modules. That should "pin" most modules to the desktop so they don't appear in games. If that doesn't help please specify which modules you're having trouble with.
