I just added jdesk to my system as desktop2 was giving exception errors every time I recycled. I've got it setup so that tasks displays an icon at the bottom of the screen for each window, and jdesk's inital deskspace allows enough space for that. At first the tasks icons appear properly, but at some stage (and I haven't been able to pinpoint any particular thing that causes this), the tasks icons disappear completely.

Anyone have any idea what's causing this? jdesk is the only thing I've changed and it was all working fine before. I'm new to LS, and any help would greatly appreciated.

jDesk and Tasks have always been working fine together; in my case. I've done strange things with them and they never complain. I don't what could cause problem. I guess should post parts of your step.rc about jDesk and Tasks. Is Tasks hooked in a box ? Is it dock to a window ?

since tasks and jdesk were both written by jugg and work as both the task and desktop module for his shell I believe they have no issues.

Paste your TasksDockWindow line if it exists. Also state if you load jdesk.dll or tasks.dll first (which LoadModule line for those two modules comes first in your configuration)

Thanks for replying guys, I've since discovered that the Litestep build I had wasn't the latest Indie build, so I've updated to that. No problems so far.
