After a long time I installed litestep again :) its been a while, so I still have some small things I dont know in the scripts... but what really bothers me is, is that Quake III crashes after a few minutes when I run it in litestep... It crashed a few times yesterday (system hang, had to press reset), and when I booted up in explorer it ran without problems :(

does someone know something that helps? Ive tried to search a bit, but all I found was stuff about the task bar which I dont have...

If it was me, I would just have 2 user accounts. 1 with explorer, 1 with litestep, and use Explorer for games. Not really a solution I guess, but it works.

Try and Pause a recycle and run the game and see if the problem persists. I have had issues with UT and LS over a GDI module and that fixed it right up.

pause a recycle :?

Read the docs!

!Recycle - Reloads all settings and modules. This can be paused by holding the Shift key to allow for the replacement of running modules. To un-pause the !Recycle just click on the "OK" button.

I didnt get what you meant with pause a recycle... sounded very strange towards me ;)

niw, the problem is solved :) appearantly powerstrip doesnt like Litestep, because I just tested Q3 under Litestep without powerstrip running and it didnt occur... thanks for your help anyway :)

if you pause LS in the middle of a recycle most of the stuff is unloaded and tends to fix incompatability issues.
