How do I get my desktop to show up in the background? all i see is the miig background.. (This happens with all themes

A theme gives you a desktop to work with... the themer defines what he wants his/her desktop to look like. And if you like the themer's choice you download and run the theme; if not you make your own theme. So unless you're running LS w/o a theme you should see your desktop... ;)

I mean all the icons, all I see is the background image.

search for desktop icons in the general forum and you get 6 pages of results.
