Hello forum members,

I am a newbie when it comes to shell enhancements/replacements,so all shell gurus bear with my question; I know how to change the default windows/shell color in windows 2000 explorer shell, but how would someone go about changing the default color scheme of the theme"Austerity"???

My "explorer" shell is marine high color, but the LS theme "Austerity" is the same color as the default windows 2000 professional shell, and I would like to make the Austerity LS theme match my current Windows 2000 color scheme!!

Thanks in advance for any replies!!

To my knowledge nobody developed another version of Austerity...so...that means that you would have to go through all of the config files changing all of the colors as needed. Once you completed that project you would then need to go through and edit every image that came with the theme to alter the colors to match your new scheme. Basically you are creating 75% of a new theme to do what you want.

Hello DeViLbOi,

I thought changing the color scheme would be as easy as windows 2000,but since it would involve all you said in ur comment,I think I will keep the default skin-tone??) color scheme of LS Austerity!!

Some themes support changing of colors...others don't. Austerity is really old and bloated and does not. However, I would highly recommend that you start installing other themes. While Austerity was nice for it's time...themers have moved on to bigger and better things.
