Problem when I play videos. Thread last updated on 2008-09-23 12:24:49

I got a trojon a while back, so I reformatted my computer. Previous to the trojon, I used litestep, and it worked fine.

Anyways, I use litestep with non|step II. I have Windows XP Pro SP2. Hmm what else should I tell you? For videos I have the CCCP & use MPC.

So the problem: Ever since I reformatted my computer, and reinstalled litestep, whenever I play a video its lags like crazy. It flashes repeatedly and I can't use my mouse. MPC also flashes in the same way while it attempts to play. It lasts about 1 minute before I regain enough control to stop the video.

I have two user accounts on my computer. The other one does not use the litestep shell. (for when my friends ask to use my computer, I had this previously, so I do not believe this is the problem.) When I log onto that account, the video works perfectly.

I am thinking that maybe I forgot to install something this time around. I have no idea what it would be though. Any advice?

Is the nonstep bar on the top of the screen? If so move it to the bottom and see if your issue continues. If it doesn't then you have a semi-transparent or transparent pixel at 0,0. To fix move your bar down one pixel.

I have it at the bottom.. I do not understand "If it doesn't then you have a semi-transparent or transparent pixel at 0,0. To fix move your bar down one pixel."

There is a bug in windows where videos won't play if you have a transparent pixel at 0,0
