After great experiences with Ubuntu, I stumbled upon Ls. Unfortunately, I cant get it to work. I have XP sp2. I tried the omar installer, but then my system freezed after logging in. Also my CPU ran up to 60%. Now I tried the Losi installer. My system doesnt freeze anymore, but I cant see the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. So I cant open any programs of configure what-ever.

Please, I hope some-one can help me.

btw, right clicking I can open the "start" menu. SO I can configure, but now I need to know what to configure.

Glad you got it working... (With LOSI I assume). The problem with Omar's installer was that you need to apply the Update (from the Downloads section) as well as modify the *NetLoadModule lines (see the sticky in the Modules forum). As you found, LOSI is already fully up-to-date.

I used Losi indeed, but had to install a theme first. It looks great! So now fun is gonna start to tweak my desktop!

I have been trying it out now for some days. It doesn't worj out of the box at my comp. With a clean Losi install I can't see icons on the taskbar, only the bar witn minimized windows. After installing a theme e.g. obsedian, I do see the complete taskbar at the bottom of the screen. After loading NOD the rainmeter and winampbar shifts up the screen, out of the taskbar. (while loading it starts at the right place). Other themes also have errors. E.g. rainmeer.dll cannot be found. (I checked and all dll's are in the litestep folder. Now I downloaded a new mac theme and it gts stuck from the beginning onwards.

Do I need to tweak my windows or litestep for this? I don't have much knowledge about this, but am thrilled to use all functions of litestep. Unfortunatel I doesnt work out of the box. I hope anyone is willing to help me!

Thnx

You are going to need to provide more details than you are. What you are describing doesn't make sense.

Do I have to configure anything in XP before I install LOSI 2? I ask that because losi doesn't work proper after installation. The information I read so far, it is necessary to regedit xp with older installations.

So before I described some problems I have after a clean in stall. I am running XP sp3. I had the same issues with sp2. What more information do you need?

Not all themes are bug free... Keep trying other ones. I'm sure someone can give you a recommendation for a stable simple theme.

You do not need to configure anything in XP prior to installing LiteStep. You only need to install LiteStep as an administrator.
