How do I get rid of the ugly purple borders on this text using xlabel-3.6.2?

Don't use
...TrueTransparency
or disable
...FontSmoothing FALSE
or enable
... AlphaMap TRUE (might only work with xLabel-4.x)
And if you want really prefect text, then use xLabel-4.x with enabled AlphaMap.
